November 18 departure:
Experience the holidays—Elvis style! On this special holiday departure, tour GRACELAND and be at the front gates for the traditional lighting ceremony. Experience how Elvis celebrated Christmas at his beloved home. On the front lawn, a festive display welcomes visitors with a replica of the greeting from Elvis’ first Christmas at Graceland in 1957, “Merry Christmas to All, Elvis.” Other outdoor decorations include the nostalgic blue lights lining the driveway, recalling the spirit of the popular Elvis hit, Blue Christmas. During your free time, visit the Peabody Hotel, brilliantly decorated for the holidays. The Christmas tree soars about 25 feet and is covered in beautiful ornaments. If you’re lucky during your visit, you may see the ducks proudly march the red carpet to take their place in the fountain. During your time in Nashville, tickets to ICE! have been reserved. Experience a winter wonderland (made of 1.5 million pounds of ice) full of interactive and exciting features. Imagine a giant, full-color wreath that takes you back in time to an old-fashioned country home on Christmas Eve, complete with gingerbread ice porch and a Victorian ice family giddy with Christmas spirit. You may choose to visit the Treasures for the Holidays Craft Show during free time at Opryland, or take advantage of the fabulous shopping opportunities at Opry Mills.
